The George Washington University Hospital Ranked One of the Best Regional Hospitals
In addition, GW Hospital achieved "high performing" status in the specialty area of Nephrology, as well as three common procedure areas including Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD), Heart Failure, and Lung Cancer Surgery. "High Performing" is the highest rating U.S. News awards for these types of care and recognizes areas that were significantly better than the national average, as measured by factors such as patient outcomes. GW Hospital is one of less than three percent of hospitals evaluated that received a high-performing rating in a specialty. The state and metro area rankings recognize hospitals that received high performing ratings across multiple areas of care.
