Acute Rehabilitation

Acute Rehabilitation focuses on helping patients develop the skills they need to live as independently as possible while recovering from illness or injury that limits their abilities to function. Services include physical, occupational, and speech therapy.

Outpatient Rehab

Physical therapists at the Outpatient Rehabilitation Center help to restore strength, improve balance, increase endurance and minimize pain. Services include: physical therapyoccupational therapyspeech and language rehabilitation and a variety of other specialized therapies.

Amputee Support Group

We have returned to a hybrid model, allowing people to attend at Outpatient Rehab, 2131 K St NW, 5th floor or continue participating via Zoom. This occurs every last Thursday of the month from 1:00 p.m. – 2:00 p.m. with a different speaker each month. To register, email melissa.keesler@gwu-hospital.com or call 202-375-7694.
