Otolaryngology Head and Neck Surgery
Thomas Troost, MD, PhD, FACS, is an ear, nose and throat specialist with particular interest in voice disorders, sinus diseases, nasal obstruction, nasal polyps, smell and taste disorders, sleep apnea and snoring treatments. He was among the first in the nation to incorporate minimally invasive endoscopic sinus surgery and image-guidance into the surgical management of sinus disease. He also has a long experience and special expertise in all aspects of the care of professional voice users, including public speakers, singers and actors.
Dr. Troost is board certified by the American Board of Otolaryngology/Head and Neck Surgery (ABOHNS) and has 20 years of clinical experience in academic and private practice settings. He is a first honors graduate of Yale University in Chemistry and received his medical degree and PhD, as well as his Otolaryngology, training at Georgetown University in Washington, DC. He has been featured among Washingtonian magazine’s “Top Doctors” every year since 1995, as well as being listed among the “Best Doctors in America” since 1998. He has published numerous scientific articles and lectured extensively throughout the United States and Europe.
