Susan Stein, MD

Susan Stein, MD, is a colon and rectal surgeon trained in robotic surgery with a special interest in pelvic floor care. This includes the medical and surgical treatment of pelvic floor conditions such as rectal prolapse, as well as conditions that contribute to incontinence and constipation. The use of the robot is especially useful in minimizing pain and trauma in abdominal approaches to pelvic floor surgery.

She has been recognized by Washingtonian Magazine as a 'Top Doctor,' as well as on 'Consumers' Checkbook.'

Dr. Stein holds a medical degree from the Medical College of Pennsylvania. She completed her internship and residency in general surgery at the George Washington University. Following that, Dr. Stein did a fellowship in colon and rectal surgery at the University of Illinois. She holds medical licenses in the District of Columbia, as well as Maryland.
