- NPO (Nothing Per Oral) – no foods or liquids are allowed and no tray will be delivered
- Clear Liquid – Includes liquids or foods that are see-through and liquid at room temperature, such as broth, gelatin and many fruit juices
- Full Liquid – Liquids or foods that are liquid at room temperature including all items listed in the clear liquid diet as well as milk, tomato soup, ice cream and pudding
- Regular – Includes all menu items with no restrictions
- Cardiac – Includes foods that are low in cholesterol, saturated fat and salt
- Consistent Carbohydrate – Restricts foods with added sugar and calls for a controlled carbohydrate intake throughout the day
- Gluten Free - Limits proteins which are found in wheat, barley and rye.
- Mechanical Soft – Eliminates foods that are difficult to chew such as raw vegetables, many raw fruits, and meats that have not been chopped
- Low Sodium – Limits foods that have a high salt content
- Low Residue – Limits foods that are high in fiber including many raw fruits, vegetables and whole grains
- Low Fat – Includes foods that are low in saturated fat and cholesterol
- Renal – Limits total protein as well as foods that are high in salt, potassium and phosphorus
- Dialysis – Limits foods that are high in salt, potassium and phosphorus
